A little bit of beauty in late November is always uplifting…
The world has too much noise and confusion, and as technology advances, the noise and confusion increases. I enjoy simple things, such as feminine beauty and nature, and I enjoy these each day. Such things nourish the soul.
Here is an ocean nymph, apparently enjoying her rocky grotto by the sea. These are delightful and mysterious creatures, and ones that should be avoided, if you happen to find yourself shipwrecked on some strange island, and seeking shelter in a cave by the shore.
There are many ways of expressing beauty, and art is one of the best. This is a nice painting by Luc-Olivier Merson, a French artist (1846-1920). Although he is primarily known as someone who belonged the Academic traditions of art, we see here some influence of the Impressionists, especially in the hazy color scheme and overall atmosphere.
