I find few things more pleasant than a well done nude painting or photograph. As in all visual arts, the use of shade and color is always important, and I enjoy how different artists enhance natural beauty by the use of different techniques. The purplish hue of this photo is particularly nice, as is, of course, the woman being photographed. Our natural form, when well presented, is always a source of inspiration, and this photograph is quite lovely.

One thing I noticed about nudes is that they can be very liberal with the exposure of female nudity, male nudity however, seems like a big deal for a lot of people, even those who make nudes. You will hear photographers that actually angle their shots in such a way that the penis will be hidden, or get a couple to simulate sex in an angle that makes it so that the testicles can be hidden away with some air brush work without much issue. Which is such a waste, and seems to distract from the goals of a nude, which is to show the beauty of the human figure in its natural state.

Indeed, there does seem to be a sort of skittishness when it comes to male nudity. Still, there are plenty of sites that promote such things, but I think most sites are geared towards gay men. Most heterosexual men do not want to see much male nudity, if any at all, and since sex is usually used to sell stuff to men, you are usually only going to see nude female beauty.
As far as artist males nudes, perhaps Michelangelo was best to do them. In fact, in his day he was criticized for being a sort of pornographer, and his statues and paintings of the male nude were quite controversial. I have written a few posts about him on here.
I wish I could help you more on this site, but since I only enjoy female nudes, I really can’t help you out too much. Still, I appreciate your remarks. It is interesting to hear your perspective on erotic male nudity! Many woman enjoy erotic things like that, but few are willing to admit it!
